Monday - After a wander round Newcastle city centre Ben suggested we walk down to the river. I'll be honest, I was in a bit of a grump and I didn't want to go, but when we got there and I saw the view I felt awful for moaning - it was beautiful!
Tuesday - It's been such a mild winter that mother nature is seriously confused. Cherry blossom was starting to bloom in Newcastle this week.
Wednesday - The sea was angry in Tynemouth on Wednesday. You can read more about my adventures there here, and here.
Thursday- Home sweet home! My Mum collects orchids, there's at least one in every room of the house. Whenever I see an orchid it reminds me of home.
Friday- Birthday! I had a really lovely day, my family are so generous, and spending the day with them was perfect. We went out for dinner to a local Chinese, and the food was absolutely delicious. However, someone let slip that it was my birthday, so I was presented with a bowl of ice cream with a candle in it and the waiters singing happy birthday. I was mortified, and buried my head in shame. Luckily, Dad was there to catch the moment for me. I have to admit it's a cute photo.
Saturday - Birthday shopping trip where I was spoilt rotten by my Mum (as well as spending a fair bit of my own money too - irresistible bargains I tell you). I'll be sharing some of my purchases with you next week.
Sunday - Home on a Sunday morning means one thing - dust off the clarinet and head to church. Before I moved away I used to play at church at least once a week, so it's always nice to go back when I'm visiting.
What did you get up to this week? If you're doing a similar photo project do let me know, I'd love to have a nose.
Wow, you're right the view along the river was worth it despite the grump :)
