“Ah, in those earliest days of love how naturally the kisses spring into life! So closely, in their profusion, do they crowd together that lovers would find it as hard to  count the kisses exchanged in an hour as to count the flowers in a meadow in May.” Proust

Happy May everyone! Aren't we rocketing towards summer? I don't know about you, but I'd be happy for the year to slow down a bit. Take a few days off. Alas, time ticks on! But don't forget to take a few moments to slow down, let the year keep going on it's own for a while. Soak in the sunshine, bask in the blossom. Be happy.

  1. Beautiful spring photos! May I ask what kind of camera, etc you're using? :) I'd love to slow down as well, it's so important to embrace slow sometimes. Have you read the "Practising Simplicity" blog? I think she writes about that subject in a beautiful way; I even wrote a blog post about it here, if you'd like to read it :)

    1. Thank you :)

These photos, and the ones on my Israel posts and the raspberry and lemon loaf cake are taken on a Canon EOS 600D. I was home visiting my parents so got to borrow it. It's a great camera but for me a little bulky. Not one you can slip into your handbag!

My oldest posts use an Olympus EP1 but sadly it's broken, so currently the rest of my recent posts are using my Samsung Galaxy S4. This may be rectified soon though...!

  2. I can't believe it's May already! I'm with you - slow down time! Such wonderful photographs and the Proust quote is perfect.
